On April 1st, 2012, Bumble and Bumble officially launched their latest collection - Color Minded. Doing away with the pigment-laden shampoos and conditioners of the old Color Support line, Bumble and Bumble has yet again used their technological resources to make a “smart” shampoo, conditioner and in-salon treatment. There’s no point in needing that extra pigment if you can seal and protect the color correctly. They have also brought back (and of course, reformulated) what was the Styling Balm and Finishing Balm from the old Bb. Treatment line. Styling Balm is still Styling Balm; it smells, looks and feels just like it used to, and works like a dream. Finishing Balm is now Finishing Polish (a much better descriptor, anyways); just as feather-light and uber shiny as before. I love the packaging; it’s clean, pretty, clever and, above all, practical. The shampoo is sulfate free (read: super gentle) yet suds like we want it to, the conditioner can be used as a mask (double-duty, love it!), yet can be used for even the finest hair types. The in-salon treatment works in just 5 minutes to seal down the cuticle, lock in your hair color, and lasts up to 40 shampoos when used with the Color Minded shampoo and conditioner (should be about 30 if you use a different kind). The treatment and styling products also offer UVA and UVB protection. What more could you ask for?
